ABOUT jim rioux
Jim’s work as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist spans nearly three decades. After many years of collaborative work, he released his first proper solo album, Darlings of the Soil, in 2016. Two years later he released, Yes I Will Yes.
His newest single, Some Kind of Ghost, featuring Jolie Holland, will be released on January 15, 2021.
In addition to his solo work, playing in a variety of bands as an accompanist, Jim Rioux is the co-founder, with Guy Capecelatro III, of indie rock band Pale Wallace. He has released instrumental work under the names They Went On, Cartwheel, and Kickstand.
Jim lives in Kittery, ME with his wife, Amanda, and their dog, Jimbo, and teaches creative writing at the University of New Hampshire.
